Sometimes You Need to Find Your People! Adelaide Edition!

It’s been a couple of years since I first came down to Adelaide.
Back then, I remember standing in front of a room of 50 people — excited, nervous, and hoping my quirky pink-haired energy would land. I cracked a joke… and not a single person laughed. Not one. It’s funny now, but at the time, it was a gut punch.
It wasn’t that they weren’t lovely people — they were. But it just didn’t feel like my moment or my people. I left unsure if I’d ever return.
But something in me said, “Try again.”
So I did. This time, I came back with zero pressure and a different energy — smaller, warmer, more me. Instead of a big formal event, we gathered at the pub, shared a meal, laughed, swapped stories, and spoke honestly about the highs, lows, and gaps in the NDIS space here in Adelaide.
I walked away with a full heart. I felt connected, seen, and reminded why I love what I do — meeting people, building real relationships, having honest conversations.
This time, it wasn’t about filling a room. It was about finding my people. And I did.
Adelaide, thank you for the laughter, the conversations, and the reminder that smaller and more genuine is exactly where I shine. I can’t wait to come back a couple more times next year — not just to host events, but to keep building friendships and connections that last a lifetime.
